Judge absent; Webkid’s case adjourned again — Brother begs Stonebwoy for mercy
Fresh details have emerged surrounding the arrest of staunch social media personality Webkid, as his brother has finally spoken publicly about the ongoing case and the delay in court proceedings.
According to the family member, court proceedings have now been postponed to June 21 after the presiding judge reportedly failed to appear due to illness. He disclosed that the family remains hopeful that Webkid will regain his freedom when the matter resumes.
“My brother is Webkid. The way things are going, the judge did not show up because they said he was sick. So now we are expected to return on Monday. We are hoping and praying that everything will be fine by then and that our brother will be released. That is what is happening now. They said the judge was absent because he is sick, so we shall meet again on Monday,” he said.
The arrest of Webkid has become one of the most talked-about issues on social media in recent days, with several allegations and rumours circulating online. However, his brother maintained that the family is still uncertain about the exact details of the case despite the growing public attention.
“The issue has become different now because people keep spreading different allegations. But I do not know how true they are. What I know is that my brother has been accused of many things which I cannot bring onto social media. I do not really know the full details of the case. All I know is that he has been arrested,” he explained.
In a surprising appeal, Webkid’s brother also addressed rumours linking Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, to the arrest. Although he admitted he could not confirm the claims, he pleaded with the musician to forgive his brother if there was any truth to the reports.
“That is what I also heard, but I do not know whether it is true or not. But if my brother’s arrest is because of Stonebwoy, then we want to plead with him to forgive him. If he has punished him a little, it is okay. We are sorry,” he added.
The controversy surrounding Webkid continues to spark debate online as many await the June 21 court sitting for more clarity on the allegations and the legal direction of the case.
Webkid is a devoted member of the Shatta Movement (SM) fan base who was arrested on May 7, 2026, for the publication of false news. He was allegedly arrested over claims that he posted defamatory content targeting Stonebwoy and members of his family. However, neither Stonebwoy nor the authorities involved have officially commented on the rumours circulating on social media.
