A disturbing situation is unfolding at Joma Agbozome Methodist School in Ga West Municipal, where pupils live in fear as a mad man and others roam the campus, defecating on the compound and taking advantage of the poor infrastructure to cause problems.

The school’s incomplete classroom block has no windows, doors, or tiles, forcing the school to close during rains to protect the pupils and their books.

When Oyerepa News reporter Bernard K Dadzie visited the school, the students are studying under these deplorable conditions, highlighting the urgent need for a fence wall to ensure their safety and security.

Ohene Mintah, an opinion leader, stressed that the situation is worsening, with Class 5 and 6 girls falling pregnant due to the school’s deplorable conditions.

The situation is dire, with students hanging their bags on trees because the classrooms are in disrepair.

He alleged that Pragyia riders easily enter the school and pick up the girls, pretending to drop them off at home, but end up having sex with them and getting them pregnant,” a leader said.

Mr Franklin Agyapong revealed that lack of fence wall has forced students to stay outside, making them vulnerable to men who come to the school compound.

The staff common room is also in a terrible state, with teachers forced to sit under the roofing without a proper space to mark students’ work.

The community allegedly blamed their MP for Amasaman, who they say promised to help construct fence wall and a new school building but has failed to deliver.
