In a bid to support emergency medical services in the Builsa North Municipality, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, Mr. James Agalga, has once again demonstrated his commitment to community welfare by donating four sets of car tires to the Builsa North Ambulance Service.
The donation ceremony took place on Monday, 10th June 2024, at the forecourt of the Municipal Ambulance office.
The donation was made to help improve the emergency care delivery system in the area.
Presenting the items, Mr. James Agalga said that the donation was made upon a request by the municipal officer in charge of the Ambulance service.
Mr. Agalga underscores the importance of his commitment in fostering community development and supporting essential services. He said such initiatives are not only to contribute to the well-being of residents but also to strengthen partnerships between him and local essential service providers in addressing societal needs.
He said the area is prone to accidents due to the poor nature of the roads in the area, so there is a need to support them on this side.
“Builsa North Municipality is a hotspot for road accidents, so when the manager of the Ambulance service appealed to me that their ambulance had broken down, I was moved to lend a helping hand,” he said.
The municipal officer in charge of the Ghana National Ambulance service who received the tires, Mr. Mark Adem, thanked the MP for his timely response to the needs of his outfit.
According to him, the Ambulance was down for the past four months and efforts to get it back on the road were unsuccessful.
He expressed his profound gratitude to the MP for the kind gesture done for them, pledging that the tires would be used for their intended purposes.
