“I’ve been to Heaven for 1 hour and 45 minutes” – Duncan-Williams

Founder and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has recounted what he described as an extraordinary spiritual experience during which he was taken out of his body and shown what he believes was heaven.

The renowned Ghanaian preacher shared the account during a sermon, claiming that the experience lasted approximately one hour and 45 minutes.

“I went there for 1 hour 45 minutes. I was taken out of my body to heaven. I saw some very interesting things. One of the things I saw was that an angel took me to a high mountain and the grass was like diamonds,” he recounted.

Duncan-Williams further claimed that his spiritual journey brought him into contact with Elder Saki, whom he described as one of the senior figures who had supported him through prayer during his early years.

According to the archbishop, Elder Saki appeared in a dazzling white vehicle that he later understood had been his preferred car while he was alive.

“He mentioned my first name and I said, Papa. He then gave me a pass to go back to my body. He was driving a beautiful white car that shone like diamonds. Apparently, that was his dream car when he was on earth, so he got it in heaven,” he added.

The preacher also told his congregation that spiritual obedience could open people to experiences beyond the physical realm, insisting that such an encounter does not necessarily mean death.

“If you follow the instructions of the spirit, some people will have an encounter to go to heaven. You won’t die, but you will go to heaven and see heaven, then you come back,” he said.

Duncan-Williams’ account has generated interest because of the vivid details he provided about the experience, particularly his description of heavenly surroundings and his alleged meeting with a deceased acquaintance. His testimony continues to invite discussion about spiritual experiences and how different people interpret encounters they believe occur beyond the physical world.
