Actor and comedian Richard Kwaku Owusu Asante, popularly known as Kalybos, has dismissed long-standing allegations that he once had an intimate relationship with Vanessa, the ex-girlfriend and baby mama of fellow comedian Funny Face.
Years ago, Funny Face accused Kalybos, along with Bismark The Joke and Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, of spreading falsehoods about him. He further alleged that Kalybos once begged him for permission to sleep with Vanessa.
However, responding to the issue on Oyerepa Entertainment Review, Kalybos rubbished the claims, stressing that he has met Vanessa only twice in his life.
Interviewer: “We heard you slept with Funny Face’s baby mama.”
Kalybos: “I don’t know anything about that. Sometimes when I hear such stories, I get surprised. The truth is, I know Funny Face, but I’ve met his ‘wife’ (Vanessa) just twice — once on set and once at an event. Beyond that, we’ve never had any form of intimacy.”
Meanwhile, Kalybos is currently in Kumasi ahead of the premiere of his new movie, “A Kiss Too Late”, scheduled for Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the SG Mall.
