Ghanaian musician Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, better known in the music business as Kweku Darlington, has positioned himself as the best lyricist among Ghana’s latest batch of artists.
“What I can say now is that currently the young generation that is doing music, I mean the kind of people that I entered into the scene with, I’m currently the best lyricist when it comes to jotting down good songs,” he said in a recent interview on Kastle FM.
The ‘Sika Aba Fie’ music star asserted that the prudent tracks he has released thus far qualify him for the ‘Songwriter of the Year’ award.
“With regards to winning songwriter of the year at the VGMA next year is about records that I’ve put out there and that’s what making people predict that I might win that award,” he revealed on Cape Coast-based Kastle FM.
He continued “So I just want to throw this to the people out there that we all have listening ears and we do listen to different kinds of song that are being released so they should put things down and analyze.
“When it gets to that time we know that God will also do something about it so with that one I just don’t want to go deep into it that by all means I will win the songwriter of the year award next year,” he declared.
