Afro-dancehall music is one of the genres that is really protruding the African continent to the World.
Zimbabwe’s Buffalo Souljah , Orezi from Nigeria, Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and Mzvee from Ghana, are some of the numerous artists who have really helped protrude afro-dancehall music globally.
But to Stonebwoy, realistically, he is the only one who sold the afro-dancehall genre to the World.
Speaking in an exclusive interview Citi FM, Stonebwoy said:
“I have been on the same stage with Shaggy, I have done Bounty Killer, Richard Stevens, Alpha Blondy, etc… I am doing a lot to project afro-dancehall…realistically I’m the one who sold afro-dancehall to the World…Oh, yes, I am the one”.
The BET award-winner will be staging his Bhim Concert on Friday, December 23, 2022. Answering a question on whether he has any plans of organizing the show in Jamaica, the ‘Roots and Culture’ crooner accentuated that:
“God willing!…that would be amazing..It takes an arm and a leg to stage such a concert there, but everything is possible. Actually, I am performing in Jamaica next month so gradually I will get there”.
Meanwhile, this year’s ‘Citituation Outdoor party’ is set to take place at the La Palm Beach Hotel on Saturday, December 24.
The much-publicised event features Stonebwoy, Akwaboah, Abiana and Praye as some of the numerous artistes to thrill patrons with their hit songs on the night.
After confirming his performance on the night, the BhimNation President promised to thrill patrons with a dazzling performance.
The ‘Citiuaton Outdoor Party,’ is exclusively organised annually by Citi TV/Citi FM in place of the usual Decemba 2 Rememba concert which brings together revellers for the best of entertainment every year.
