Minister nominee for Communications, Digitalisation, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George, has defended his assertive communication style, clarifying that his firm stance should not be mistaken for disrespect.
Speaking before the Appointments Committee on Thursday, January 30, Mr. George addressed concerns regarding his approach to public discourse, emphasizing that his strong opinions stem from conviction rather than disregard for others.
“I am not a disrespectful person. I have opinions, and I state them forcefully,” he asserted.
He explained that his direct and outspoken nature is driven by a deep commitment to his principles and the national interest, highlighting the importance of robust discussions in leadership and policy-making.
Mr. George assured the Committee that he remains committed to working collaboratively with stakeholders in the digital and communications sector.
He pledged to maintain professionalism while advocating for policies that drive Ghana’s technological advancement.
