Ghanaian dancehall star Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, has visited a fan who was injured during an incident linked to his Shattafest concert in London.

The musician travelled to the fan’s residence to personally check on his condition and reassure the family of his support.

The fan, identified as Abraham, appeared delighted by the visit as Shatta Wale presented him with a number of items, including cash, flowers, a gift card and Hotwav phones.

In an emotional moment, the young fan was given the opportunity to perform one of Shatta Wale’s songs, a gesture that appeared to lift his spirits.

Shatta Wale said he was particularly moved by Abraham’s enthusiasm for his music despite being based in London.

“Most of the time, when I see that someone loves me that much, the connection is there. I was asking myself, how can a child from London sing my songs like that?” he said.

The ‘Taking Over’ hitmaker also apologised over the incident that left Abraham injured and assured him that his relationship with the family would extend beyond the visit.

“His choice of song shows he’s really seen his prophecy come true. I just want to say I’m so sorry for whatever happened. With the way I’m welcomed here, I can’t just leave like that. Anytime I have a show in London, you and the whole family will get free tickets,” he stated.

According to Shatta Wale, his visit was not simply about providing financial assistance but about establishing a lasting bond with the fan and his family.

“When I was coming, I was wondering what to actually do for him, but I realised that there are some things that happen and we can’t just give out money,” he explained.

He further pledged to remain in contact with the family and make their home a regular stop whenever he visits the United Kingdom.

“From now onwards, I will take this house as my house. Anytime I come to London, I will pass by and eat. We will also take contacts, so anytime you hear I have a show in London, you and the family can just show up,” he added.

The gesture comes as Shatta Wale seeks to maintain a close connection with his fans following the controversy surrounding the London edition of Shattafest.
