Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has declared that he is done working with veteran actor Joseph Van Vicker, popularly known as Van Vicker, following what he describes as repeated disappointments over movie productions.

In a social media video, Lil Win said he has removed Van Vicker from the cast of his upcoming film after allegedly turning down roles at short notice.

He claimed that although Van Vicker had previously declined an offer to appear in one of his productions, he gave him another opportunity because of the respect he had for him. According to Lil Win, the actor allegedly rejected the second opportunity as well.

Lil Win said he has now decided against giving him another chance and would rather abandon a production than appear on set alongside him.

“I would never cast you in a movie again. Even if there’s a movie and they are casting both of us, I wouldn’t shoot that movie. It’s either you cast the movie alone or I cast it alone. I wouldn’t want to work with you again. Enough is enough. You don’t respect the Kumawood industry. A day before we are scheduled to shoot a movie, when we call you, you don’t answer your calls. I have called you multiple times, but you don’t answer or return the calls to explain why you couldn’t come for the shoot,” Lil Win stated.

He further alleged that Van Vicker’s name had already been included in the cast of his latest project by his manager, Frank, but he personally ordered that the actor be removed.

Lil Win insisted that Van Vicker’s status in Ghana’s movie industry does not make him indispensable, stressing that there are several other capable actors available for his productions.

“It would not happen for the third time. Frank had cast you in my upcoming movie, but I have taken your name out. I will never use you again because, for the work we are about to do, you are not bigger than anyone on the cast list,” Lil Win noted.

The outburst has added another layer to the longstanding tensions and professional disagreements that occasionally emerge within Ghana’s movie industry, with Lil Win making it clear that he does not intend to share a movie set with Van Vicker again.
