The Chief of Drobonso in the Sekyere Afram Plains District in the Ashanti Region, Nana Dankwah Dwubin-Siaw II, has warned the Agogo District Police Commander, Mr Owusu Bempah to stop operating in the area which is not under his jurisdiction.
Nana Dwubin Siaw maintained that Sekyere Afram Plains is under the Kumawu Police Command hence it is illegal for the Agogo Police Commander to operate and cause trouble in the area.
Addressing a Press Conference Organized by the Drobonso Traditional Authority, Nana Dwamena Dankwah Dwubin Siaw said the police invariably kill the cattle of his people and sell them on the market.
For this reason, he has banned the police commander not to dare go beyond his jurisdiction (Agogo) because if he refuses to enter the land of Afram Plains, he (Chief of Drobonso) will allow his boys to battle the police commander.
“Agogo Police commander, don’t you ever come to my area to kill cattle again, if you do so then you are calling for war, I’ll allow my boys to face you boot for boot and we’ll know who is superior. Your reign doesn’t surpass Sekyere Afram Plains. It ends at Agogo district…”
He however appealed to the Regional Security Council and the Inspector General of Police to intervene or call the Agogo Police Commander to order else, he will deal with him.
