IGP directs investigation into alleged GHc400k Mobile Money theft
The Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno has ordered an investigation into claims of an unauthorised withdrawal of GH₵400,000 from a mobile money agent’s account in Kibi.
The Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) has been tasked with probing allegations circulating in a viral video, which suggest possible involvement of some police personnel in the incident.
The Ghana Police Service confirmed that the victim has been contacted and is cooperating fully with investigators.
Police have assured the public that the results of the investigation will be communicated once the probe is concluded.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has directed the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) to investigate allegations in a viral video regarding the unauthorised withdrawal of GH₵400,000 from the account of a mobile money agent in Kibi, reportedly involving some police personnel.
