“If Obinim wants divorce, I’m ready too” — Florence drops Bombshell

Ghanaian gospel singer Florence Obinim has sparked intense public conversation after openly declaring that she is prepared to end her marriage to her husband, Bishop Daniel Obinim, if he decides to walk away.

The award-winning musician made the revelation during an interview with GhPage TV on YouTube on June 16, 2026, where she emotionally addressed the growing tension in her relationship with the founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, popularly known as Angel Obinim.

The revelation comes amid ongoing reports of marital challenges between the controversial preacher and his wife, Florence Obinim.

According to Florence, she has spent years being respectful, calm, and patient in the marriage, yet she believes her sacrifices have gone unnoticed and unappreciated by her husband.

“I have been humble and patient with Bishop, yet he still does not appreciate the kind of woman I am. May God’s will be done. If he is ready for a divorce, then I am ready too,” she said.

Florence further disclosed that nearly a month ago, she had a serious conversation with Bishop Obinim about their marriage and the sacrifices she has made over the years. She reportedly reminded him of her peaceful nature and the role she has played in keeping the marriage together.

However, she stressed that every woman has her limit, insisting that she cannot continue living under pressure or expectations that could affect her well-being.

The gospel artiste also hinted that she has remained silent about several troubling issues concerning the preacher’s private life, despite having reasons to speak publicly.

“If I choose to speak about certain things that concern me about Bishop’s life, it would not be pleasant. There are things I am entitled to that would give me peace of mind, but if I am denied them, I simply stay quiet. If I need to buy or rent them myself, I go ahead and do so,” Florence revealed.

She also made an emotional appeal to junior pastors and close associates of Bishop Obinim to pray for him, stating that the current state of their marriage is becoming increasingly worrying.

Her comments have since fueled speculation that all may not be well between one of Ghana’s most talked-about celebrity couples. Although she stopped short of revealing details, her remarks strongly suggest unresolved tension behind the scenes.

As reactions continue to flood social media, many Ghanaians are waiting to see whether Bishop Daniel Obinim will publicly respond to his wife’s explosive statements or remain silent amid the growing controversy.
