Nigerian Afrobeats star Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has disclosed that infidelity has never been enough reason for her to end a romantic relationship.

The award-winning singer made the revelation during a podcast conversation about her experiences with love and relationships.

According to Tiwa Savage, she has never walked away from a partner simply because he was unfaithful, insisting that other behaviours have been more serious deal breakers for her.

“I never cheated in my relationships and I never left anyone for cheating. I didn’t even leave; he still left me,” she said.

The singer explained that she has instead ended relationships over issues such as stealing and drug use.

“I’ve never left anyone for that, but I’ve left for other reasons like maybe stealing, doing drugs and stuff,” she stated.

Tiwa Savage also revealed that some former partners have returned to apologise after she ended their relationships, with the singer admitting that she occasionally accepted them back.

“Some men stole from me indirectly. I would leave, then they would come and apologise and I would take them back. But cheating wasn’t a deal breaker for me,” she added.

Her comments offer an unconventional perspective on relationships, particularly at a time when infidelity is widely regarded as one of the major reasons couples separate. For Tiwa Savage, however, cheating alone does not appear to carry the same weight as certain other forms of misconduct.
