Emmanuel Anane Frimpong, CEO of Frimpince Music Production, announced earlier this week in a press release dated August 4, 2022, that he would no longer be working with gospel artist Diana Asamoah.
Diana Asamoah and Frimprince have been working together for a number of years, but the label and the artist have split up. While the details of their professional split are sketchy, it appears Frimprince’s manager blames the gospel musician for the breakup.
In an interview with Angel FM’s Ike Unpredictable, Mr Frimpong said he would rather work with secular artists than gospel musicians.
“The secular artistes are good. They have a good understanding of issues,” he said.
Frimprince maintains that dealing with secular musicians is easier, whereas dealing with gospel musicians is more difficult.
Diana’s contract was terminated by the former producer due to several violations.
Diana Asamoah loses access to all digital pages of the music production company, including her verified Facebook page, as a result of the contract termination.
Frimprince Music Productions has also announced that it will no longer participate in ABBA FATHER, an annual gospel concert in Ghana headlined by Diana Asamoah.
The company also stated that it would retain complete ownership of all songs produced during their collaboration.
