Gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong has publicly announced his readiness to tap into the talent of Miller, an upcoming artiste and nephew of the late Daddy Lumba, to help him become a great musician.
Isaiah Ampong, known in the industry as Great Ampong, said in a video that he is willing to support the nephew of the late Lumba in his music career. He added that he has always been looking for talented individuals to help, and Miller is no exception.
“We are praying to support him. Those who know me know I have been hunting for talent for a long time. I help anyone who has talent when the spirit directs me to. God will use us as a vessel for the nation to see what He will do. God bless him,” he said.
Upcoming artiste Miller, who is set to receive support from Great Ampong, also appreciated the gesture, thanking him and praying for God’s protection over him.
He stated: “What I will also say is thank you. You have done something that is beyond my understanding. May God also protect you for me.”
The video has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with users questioning whether Great Ampong will truly fulfill his promise, considering his past relationship with Daddy Lumba when he was alive.
During the lifetime of iconic Ghanaian highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu (Daddy Lumba), he had a strained relationship with Great Ampong. This stemmed from unresolved financial and intellectual property disputes following the release of their hit collaboration album Hosanna in 2015. However, the dispute was reportedly resolved during Great Ampong’s ordination as a reverend minister in the United States.
