“This is huge for me because we all know he(Davido) is an African Superstar and I didn’t expect this to happen right now. “Looking at how far everything has been for me and having Davido on my EP is a big deal for me.”
According to Gyakie, her song titled ‘Flames’ was later added to her EP because Davido wanted to put his verse on the song after he showed interest after listening to the song for the first time.
“Flames was not on the project. The project just had five songs with no collaboration but when we played a lot of the songs he liked this particular one and he jumped on it”.
Gyakie disclosed that during the recording session, she had to go to the washroom just to cry. She disclosed that she did not believe Davido was in the studio with her recording with her.
“They were looking for me at the studio but couldn’t find me because I had locked myself in the washroom and was crying. I could not believe Davido was in the studio recording a verse on my song,” she said.
Gyakie is one of the youngest artists in the music industry doing great in her music career.
Gyakie has just released her EP titled ‘My Diary’.
