Entertainment pundit Sally Frimpong Mann has clarified her position in the ongoing public discussion surrounding the widows of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, stating that her earlier association with Odo Broni was based on a misunderstanding.
Speaking to Francisca Instsiful on Oyerepa Entertainment Review, Sally Mann explained that she initially believed Odo Broni was Maame Akosua Serwaa, whom she described as Daddy Lumba’s legal wife. According to her, that assumption influenced her relationship with Odo Broni at the time.
“I’ve seen my video with Odo Broni circulating online. I honestly thought Odo Broni was Maame Akosua Serwaa, so that’s why I was cool with her,” she said.
She noted that her stance changed immediately after she realised that Akosua Serwaa was the actual wife of the late musician.
Sally Mann stressed that her decision to distance herself from Odo Broni and openly support Akosua Serwaa was driven by her personal principles and faith.
“But when I realised the actual wife was Akosua Serwaa, I had to do the right thing. I’m a Bible student, and I always want to stand on the side of the truth,” she added.
Sally Mann’s comments come amid public backlash following her recent remarks about Daddy Lumba’s death and the perceived shift in her allegiance from Odo Broni to Akosua Serwaa. Many critics accused her of inconsistency, while others questioned her choice of words and public posture.
However, the entertainment pundit maintained that her actions were guided by her understanding of the facts and her moral convictions, insisting that she had no personal agenda against any of the parties involved.
