Ghanaian musician Ahmed Mujahid Bello, popularly known as Fancy Gadam, has opened up about a major decision from his past that he would change if given another opportunity to live his life.

The Tamale-based artiste disclosed that he did not complete Junior High School (JHS), admitting that he wishes he had paid greater attention to his education before pursuing his music career.

“If I had the opportunity to start my life again, I would have taken my education seriously because I didn’t even complete JHS,” he said.

Despite his limited formal education, the ‘Total Cheat’ hitmaker said his career has exposed him to people who have helped him improve his command of English.

“I’m able to speak English because I’m always with people who understand this game, and I’m also a fast learner,” he added.

Fancy Gadam’s admission highlights the unconventional path that has taken him from Tamale to becoming one of the prominent voices in Ghana’s contemporary music scene. His comments also underscore his belief that greater attention to education would have given him an advantage beyond his achievements in music.
