Prophet Issac Appiah, often known as ‘Ogya Nyame,’ the founder and leader of the Shining Grace Chapel worldwide, has defended himself after criticism of a prophesy he made concerning the Ghanaian football team, the Black Stars.
Prophet Ogya Nyame predicted that Ghana will not qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022 because of a curse placed on the squad by the gods.
He said earlier this year that the Black Stars would have to butcher a cow in order to break the curse on them.
However, Ghana’s Black Stars defeated Nigeria Super Eagles on Tuesday, March 29th, to secure qualification for the World Cup.
The man of God claims he overturned the curse after a member of his church approached him to do so and that it was because of his love for the country that he was able to do so, enabling Ghana to qualify.
