A Nigerian commercial sex worker at Adum in the Kumasi Metropolis has revealed that the economic hardship in the country has drastically affected her work.
According to her, she made GHc20,000 in the first three months that she came to Ghana but now the amount of money she earns on daily basis has reduced due to the hardship in the country.
“I earned about GHC20, 000.00 within three months that I came to Ghana. I don’t make more money nowadays, the economic hardship in the country has really affected my business. I always have to consider my customers, which has affected my income. Life has really been difficult for us because we don’t get more clients”. She told Kwasi Parker-Wilson host of Oyerepa Breakfast Time.
She explained that she is currently working on consideration because there’s no money in the country.
The sex worker expressed worry about the security status of most of her colleagues who work along the roadside.
“They usually kill most of my colleagues who work at the roadside. Our safety at the roadside is at risk. I am pleading with the government to make the necessary interventions to help ease the hardship in the country.” She asserted.
