Kumawood actress now turned musician Emelia Brobbey has opened up on her singing careering and her personal life in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.
The actress who is known for her shyness and quietness has debunked the perception of being a “church girl” due to her calmness and how she carries herself.
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Emelia Brobbey people find it difficult to accept her music because of the image painted in the minds of people due to the good girl roles she was given in movies.
“I’m a Christian and believe in doctrines of the religion but I don’t think that should be a limit to exploring my musical talent. I’m doing music now because it has been a long-held passion and I need encouragement to go the long haul with it” she stated.
Emelia Brobbey talked about her music career disclosing that her track “Makoma” has almost 3 million views on Youtube with her new track titled “Emelia” garnering about 157,670 views in the space of two weeks after release.
“I released Emelia two weeks ago and it already has over 150,000 views. I have monitored the comments under the video and there was no dislike and that means I’m doing something right. From the airplay, comments, and feedback, I know that Ghanaians love my stuff” she added.
