Ghanaian singer Cina Soul has shed light on the unique creative process behind some of her hit songs.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on December 10, 2025, the award-winning artiste revealed that many of her melodies actually appear to her in dreams, and she often turns them into global records.
“I’ve mentioned before that sometimes the melodies come in dreams. When they do, you literally have to wake yourself up and record them,” she said. “It’s the hardest thing because the sleep is very sweet, but you still have to wake up. The melody is too good, so you get up and record it.”
Cina Soul added that she sometimes develops full songs from these dream melodies—either by writing the lyrics herself or producing parts of the instrumentation before taking it to a producer.
“So, when that happens, I take the melodies to the studio, and we create a record. Other times, I go to the studio, hear an instrumentation, hop on it, and it just works.”
“There are times I write the words first before adding instrumentation. Sometimes I even play the instrumentation myself. I have a small studio where I work, and then I take it to the producer, who turns it into something,” she added.
