Controversial Ghanaian hiplife musician, Sidney Kofi Ofori who is widely known in showbiz as Barima Sydney has revealed that anytime he sees people enjoying his songs, he feels very appreciated and recognized.
“I believe that so far as my songs are out and people are jamming to it, people are buying it. To me, it’s the biggest award.
Anytime I come out with an album, my biggest problem is for the album to sell out, at least I know that people really appreciate what I’m doing.
The biggest award or respect an artist can get is to make sure your songs are good and when you are getting good sales, I mean take it as your award,” he stated in a recent interview on Joy FM.
The musician has contributed to the Ghanaian music industry with his songs on socio-political issues and has performed in Ghana and abroad.
Some of the songs he has released include Tinana, ‘Abuskeleke’, ‘Scent No’, ‘Obia nye Obiaa’, ‘Africa Monie’, ‘Fɔrso’, ‘Donkomi’, and ‘Ayeka’.
