I Engineered NDC’s Victory in Ashanti Region – Isham Yaw Alhassan Bonus

Isham Yaw Alhassan Bonus, a contender for the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has claimed that he played a key role in the party’s improved performance in the Ashanti Region during the 2024 general elections.

According to him, his efforts and strategic contributions helped position the party to make significant gains in the region, which has traditionally been considered a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking in an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Isham Yaw Alhassan Bonus said he was instrumental in engineering the factors that contributed to the NDC’s electoral success in the Ashanti Region.

The NDC made notable inroads in the Ashanti Region during the 2024 elections, winning seven parliamentary seats in the region.

However, Isham Yaw Alhassan Bonus acknowledged that the achievement was not the work of one person, stressing that no individual should claim sole credit for the party’s gains.

He explained that the victory was achieved through the collective efforts of party executives, parliamentary candidates, grassroots members, supporters and other stakeholders who worked tirelessly for the party.

“No one can take credit for NDC’s seven seats in Ashanti Region because it was a collective responsibility,” he said.

The NDC’s performance in Ashanti Region during the 2024 elections marked a significant improvement for the party in the region, as it broke further into an area historically dominated by the NPP.

Isham Yaw Alhassan Bonus is currently seeking to lead the party as Ashanti Regional Chairman, with his campaign focused on strengthening the NDC’s structures and consolidating its gains ahead of future elections.
