Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the hopeful flagbearer of the NPP, has declined to provide a specific percentage prediction for himself in the ongoing presidential primaries.
The vice president won the super-delegate conference with 68.15% of the total votes cast.
Numerous surveys, however, forecast a substantial 70 per cent victory for the vice president post-election.
But speaking to the media after casting his vote at the party headquarters, Dr. Bawumia refuted predicting any per cent for himself.
“I’m reasonably confident of winning. But I don’t want to predict any percentage now. Everything is in the hands of the Lords. I am praying that, in the end, I will be the winner.”
Over 200,000 NPP delegates across the country are voting to elect a presidential candidate for the 2024 election. To prevent resignations from the party after the primary, all four candidates signed an undertaking on October 2 not to resign if they lose.
