Highly respected Gospel artiste and songwriter, Ernest Opoku has condemned fellow Gospel musicians who collect gate proceeds at their events stating that it is totally wrong.
“It is wrong for you to make money before people can enjoy your programme”, Ernest Owusu told Hello FM in an interview.
According to the musician taking money from people before they patronise the auditorium of your events prevents those who truly need God’s favour from receiving their miracle.
Ernest Opoku also revealed that, throughout his music career, he has never charged people who patronize his shows.
“I don’t organize a programme and take gate fees. It‘s wrong to charge people before they come to your show. It is not right to claim you are doing the work of God and charge people before you perform”, Ernest Owusu stressed.
To him, Gospel musicians must allow people to their programmes so that, after they have received their miracles from God, the individual from his heart give some time wholeheartedly.
When he was questioned why Gospel musicians also charged event organizers before performing, Ernest Opoku categorically stated that, since the event organizer is making it business and have already taken gate fee, musicians must also charge.
