Ghanaian actor and comedian Stephen Atanga, popularly known as Don Little, has publicly addressed comments made by fellow actor Atemuda, expressing frustration over what he believes is a failure to acknowledge the assistance he has provided throughout their relationship.

In a strongly worded response shared online, Don Little dismissed claims that Atemuda had already moved on from the television series Junkatown before receiving support from him. The actor insisted that regardless of the circumstances, any form of help extended to a person should be appreciated.

“You said you left Junkatown before I helped you? Can you listen to yourself? When I took you in, even if it’s just water that I offered you, you should be grateful. Maybe you really needed it that day, so God has used me to save your life,” he said.

The popular entertainer also responded to comments directed at his physical stature, stressing that people should not be judged based on their appearance.

“You also said all my siblings are tall and I’m the shortest one. We were not all created to be the same,” he stated.

Don Little further challenged suggestions that he lacked options outside the entertainment industry, arguing that acting is a profession filled with talented and accomplished individuals from various educational and professional backgrounds.

“Are you not also an actor? Are you a mason or a carpenter? We are all actors, but you were saying that if not acting, I can’t do any other job. Do you think it’s ordinary people who are into acting?” he shared.

To reinforce his point, he referenced respected Ghanaian movie stars such as John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Jackie Appiah and Van Vicker, describing them as examples of individuals who have elevated the acting profession.

According to Don Little, his support for Atemuda extended beyond words, as he frequently included him in activities, offered transportation and provided opportunities for social outings.

“I’ve helped you in so many ways, so you should be grateful. I take you around town in my car so you can have fun,” he noted.

The actor also reacted to attacks from some social media users, claiming many critics had misinterpreted his earlier remarks and falsely accused him of insulting members of the Fante ethnic group.

“Your followers don’t even know what’s going on, but they’re on social media insulting me. They thought I insulted the Fantes, but I didn’t,” he said.

In what appears to signal a complete breakdown in their working relationship, Don Little disclosed that he had already found a replacement for Atemuda in an upcoming production and would no longer require his involvement.

“Don’t even bother yourself about the role I wanted you to play for me because I’ve gotten someone fit enough to play that role. I don’t need you anymore,” he added.

The latest exchange is the newest chapter in a growing public dispute between the two entertainers, drawing mixed reactions from fans online. While some have backed Don Little’s call for appreciation and respect, others believe the disagreement should have been handled privately. Regardless, the fallout appears to have ended any immediate prospects of future collaboration between the two actors.
