Renowned Ghanaian entrepreneur and CEO of the McDan Group of Companies, Daniel McKorley, popularly known as ‘McDan,’ has dismissed any interest in running for president, stating that his focus is on making a meaningful impact rather than holding political office.
Speaking in an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time with Kwesi Parker Wilson, McDan made it clear that his ambition lies in influencing positive change and supporting the youth.
“I am not interested in becoming president. Rather, I want to be influential and help the youth in the country,” he affirmed.
Despite acknowledging the potential influence he could wield as president, McDan stressed that he is already making a significant impact and believes he could achieve even more without holding political office.
He further encouraged the business community to rally behind Ghana’s new president, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurs in national development.
“If I were president, I could do ten times what I’m doing now, but my focus remains on empowering the youth and supporting economic growth,” he added.
McDan has been a vocal advocate for entrepreneurship and youth development in Ghana, leading various initiatives aimed at equipping young people with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed.
