A member and former parliamentary candidate of the Subin Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Joseph Boakye Danquah, who was a contender for Hon. Eugene Boakye Antwi, has stated that he is ready to serve his people with or without the NPP.
This revelation was made with speculation that he was going to run as an independent parliamentary candidate in Subin Constituency after he had declared his intention to contest again.
According to the former contender, Eugene Boakye Danquah, he has come up with a new vision and direction for his people, which he believes can be possible with or without the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking exclusively on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show on Wednesday morning, he explained that he has been cheated on several occasions in the primaries of the NPP, and nothing will stop him this time from contesting to serve his people.
“I am not a slave to any political party; I am a slave to my people. “I have been cheated for so long, and now nobody can prevent me from contesting to help my people,” he stressed.
Adding to that, he chose to serve his people through the NPP but was denied and has cheated so many times, but this time he is poised to cause a change in Subin Constituency.
For now, I am yet to decide and let it be known whether I serve through the NPP or go as an independent candidate when the time comes,” he added.
Meanwhile, there is an erected billboard of him in the constituency without the NPP colors and symbol, as this shows he might be going as an independent parliamentary candidate in the Subin constituency.
