Ghanaian actress and media personality Felicity Ama Agyemang, popularly known as Nana Ama McBrown, has revealed that her love for driving is so strong that she would willingly make the long journey from Ghana to Europe by road if she had the opportunity.

McBrown disclosed in an interview that she once tried to join a group that travelled by car from Ghana to the United Kingdom but was unable to make the trip. She said she would gladly undertake a similar journey, provided she was travelling with a group for security.

“I wanted to go with the people who drove from Ghana to the UK. I even went looking for them. I can drive from Ghana to Europe if we’re in a group, at least for safety reasons,” she said.

The actress identified driving and cooking as her favourite hobbies, recalling how she would insist on taking the wheel during trips between Accra and Kumasi rather than leaving the driving to someone else.

“Driving is my hobby. My hobbies are driving and cooking. When I used to travel on the Accra-Kumasi road, Chairman would say he would drive, then I would refuse. I know how to drive more than you, and I would even allow you to sleep,” she recounted.

McBrown said she becomes particularly uncomfortable when someone else is driving because she cannot be certain about the driver’s condition or how much rest they have had.

“I don’t know what you’re going through or if you even slept last night, so I would have to keep you active. If I get the chance, I would take over and drive,” she explained.

Her preference for comfort also extends to the type of vehicle she drives. McBrown said she favours larger cars, especially because her work often requires long-distance travel and carrying several items.

“I don’t like driving small cars. If you want to gift me a car, don’t buy the Benz that is low; I would prefer a G-Wagon. Because of the work we do, I can’t drive these small cars and travel with them,” she added.

McBrown’s comments offer a glimpse into one of the lesser-known passions of the actress, who appears to enjoy being behind the wheel as much as she does her highly successful entertainment career.
