Founder of the International God’s Way Church, Daniel Obinim, has declared that he is stepping away from the recent wave of public discussions involving his marriage and personal life, saying he has received what he believes is a spiritual directive to withdraw from the online conversation.

The controversial preacher, who has been at the centre of social media debates over his relationship with gospel musician Florence Obinim, explained in a video shared with his congregation that he took immediate action on Sunday morning after what he described as guidance from the Holy Spirit.

According to him, before attending church at 9 a.m., he went through his social media platforms and removed all content related to the ongoing issue, marking what he says is a complete end to his public engagement on the matter.

“On Sunday morning before going to church, I deleted all the videos I had posted on my social media. I have not heard anything else; all I know is that the Holy Spirit instructed me not to continue,” he said.

He further insisted that his decision was not influenced by any external pressure or advice, stressing that it was a personal conviction he attributes entirely to his faith.

“No one has advised me or spoken to me about it. I have not heard anything from anyone,” he added.

Addressing claims that he may have quickly moved past the controversy, Bishop Obinim rejected such suggestions, explaining that his silence should not be interpreted as emotional recovery but obedience to what he believes is a spiritual command.

“Some people may say, ‘Papa, you have healed very fast.’ I have not healed from anything; I am simply following the instructions of the Holy Spirit,” he stated.

His announcement effectively signals a withdrawal from the ongoing public discourse that has surrounded his marriage in recent weeks, with the preacher indicating that he will no longer comment publicly on the issue moving forward.
