Georgina Gyasi has made a series of startling allegations against her late husband during an appearance on Oyerepa Afutuo with Auntie Naa on Thursday, August 6, 2026, claiming he abandoned their family, married other women, and later returned to her with nothing after allegedly losing his employer’s money to online fraudsters.

Appearing on the programme while carrying several passports and personal documents she claimed were left behind by her deceased husband, Georgina recounted the difficulties she endured throughout their marriage.

According to her, after years of struggling together, her husband secured a well-paying job, but their relationship deteriorated when she repeatedly asked him to officially marry her.

“He started making money, so I asked him to let us get married. Later, he stopped coming home. Anywhere I knew I could find him, he wasn’t there. One day, a friend told me he had been travelling around the world and was on his way back. I met him at the station and asked why he had travelled without telling me. When I asked about our relationship, he said he was done with the marriage,” she said.

She said their families later intervened and agreed they should separate, after which she relocated to Kumasi with their children. According to Georgina, her husband never provided financial support for either the children or herself.

A year later, she claimed, he contacted her and pleaded to return despite having nothing.

“When he came, he had only 50 pesewas on him. I asked how someone who had been travelling around the world could end up like that. He explained that he worked with a travel and tour agency in Kasoa. His boss entrusted him with a huge amount of money, but he unknowingly sent it to online fraudsters. Since then, his boss had been tormenting him, sometimes taking him to the seaside and pointing a gun at him to force him to repay the money,” she narrated.

Georgina further alleged that she initially refused to take him back because he had married two other women after leaving her.

“I told him I couldn’t accept him because he had already married two women, but he said he had divorced all of them. I eventually allowed him to stay with me and took care of him for a year and a half,” she added.

She said his health later deteriorated after he developed complications from diabetes, adding that doctors recommended amputation of one of his legs, but he declined the procedure.

Georgina disclosed that after his death, tensions escalated between her and his family.

“He died last Monday. The young lady who took him to his family had my phone, and when they saw it, they realised he had been staying with me. They called me and said they would deal with me after the funeral. They told me to come and show them his properties. They also said someone told them I had cursed him, leading to his death, so they would deal with me,” she concluded.

The allegations were made solely by Georgina Gyasi during the live broadcast. At the time of her interview, the deceased husband’s family had not publicly responded to the claims. She is pleading with Auntie Naa and her team to resolve the issue amicably for peace to reign.
