Residents of Abuakwa South experienced a weekend of impactful engagement and community-centered activities as their Member of Parliament, Kingsley Agyemang, led a series of Easter initiatives aimed at promoting health, unity, and social support across the constituency.

The activities commenced in the early hours of Friday with a free health screening exercise in Kyebi, where hundreds of residents benefited from medical check-ups, professional advice, and access to basic healthcare services. The initiative underscored the importance of accessible healthcare while highlighting the MP’s commitment to the wellbeing of his constituents.

Following the health outreach, the MP embarked on a constituency-wide engagement tour through his “Time with the MP (Pae mu ka)” sessions held in Asiakwa, Kyebi, and Apedwa. These interactive forums provided a platform for residents to voice concerns, share ideas, and engage directly with their representative, strengthening the relationship between leadership and the people.

Saturday’s activities began with a vibrant community health walk in Kyebi, drawing participation from residents across various age groups. The event promoted physical fitness and healthy living while fostering a sense of unity within the constituency.

The momentum continued with a football gala held in Adukrom, Ahwenease, and Asafo, where youth from different communities showcased their talents in a spirited competition. In recognition of their participation and effort, all teams received prizes, including cash rewards, jerseys, and footballs, ensuring that each group left encouraged and motivated.

Later in the day, attention turned to the elderly in Nkronso, Apapam, and Asikam, where the MP extended gestures of care and appreciation. Beneficiaries received items such as bags of rice, crates of eggs, pieces of cloth, and cash donations, reflecting respect for their contributions to society and reinforcing the importance of social inclusion.

The Easter activities concluded on Sunday with worship and thanksgiving services in Maase, Odumase, and Aposs. Joining congregants, the MP reflected on the significance of the season and shared messages of hope and renewal for the future.

Across all the communities visited, the series of activities conveyed a consistent message of leadership rooted in service, accessibility, and responsiveness. For many residents, the weekend served as a reminder of the impact of active representation and community-focused governance in driving development at the local level.
