A dire warning has been issued by the head teacher of Barekuma R/C Primary School in the Atwima Nwabiagya North district, Mr Atta Kwesi, as the school’s building teeters on the edge of collapse.
Years of neglect have left the infrastructure perilous, with ominous cracks in the walls, a leaking roof, and inadequate lighting and ventilation.
In an urgent appeal, Mr Kwesi described the situation as a “ticking time bomb,” posing a significant threat to the safety and well-being of students and staff.
“We are in dire need of help to repair and renovate the building,” he emphasised.
Adding that, “The current state of our school is unacceptable, and we require immediate support to create a conducive learning environment for our children.”
Kwesi’s extended his plea to the government, local authorities, and philanthropic organizations, imploring them to come to the school’s aid and support its rehabilitation efforts.
