A tragic accident occurred around 10:30 pm yesterday at Potsin Junction, in front of Nana Koo Nyame’s residence, leaving a 16-year-old motor repairer with severe injuries.
The victim was initially rushed to the Potsin Polyclinic for treatment but was later transferred to the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba due to the seriousness of his condition.
Eyewitness Ebo Anderson, speaking to Oyerepa News Reporter Nana Ansah, revealed that the teenager is known for reckless riding anytime they close from work and his master is absent. According to him, the victim took a tricycle (popularly called Aboboyaa) for a ride after work, but due to careless driving, it overturned, causing the accident.
The boy sustained multiple fractures in his right leg, with both bones badly damaged. Medical officials say the extent of the injuries indicates a heavy impact. Meanwhile, road safety concerns in the area are being reviewed following the incident.
