Goldline Mining Company is poised to undertake the construction of a 2-kilometer road in the Amansie South district of the Ashanti region.

This road will span from Manso-Kensere, passing through Manso-Wahaso, and reaching Manso-Aponapong, a vital farming community within the district.

Expressing his concern, Mr. Emmanuel Ababio, the esteemed CEO of Goldline Mining Company, emphasized the urgent necessity of this construction project.

“I have lived in this community for the past 16 years. I know 99 percent of the indigenous people are farmers, and they suffer during the rainy season.

“Last week we saw an old lady about 75 to 80 years old crossing this road, and it was raining. It took the employees of Goldline Mining Company to save this woman, and we can’t let this happen again.

“That is why the mining company took it upon itself to do it. Ghanaians, it’s time we avoid depending too much on the government. The government has too much on its plate, and we individuals do our best to support the community so that there will be better things ahead for the people of Apronapong,” the CEO stated.

Speaking to Oyerepa News, the District Chief Executive of the Amansie South, Clement Opoku, expressed his profound gratitude to the Goldline Mining Company and called on the residents of the area not to conspire with workers to steal the construction materials.

“I thank the CEO and the entire Goldline Mining Company for heeding our call. When you come to Mansie South District, we have a major problem with the road network connecting other communities. As part of their social responsibility as a company, they have decided to heed our call to construct eight bridges and drainages in the Apronapng-Wahaso community, which the company operates.

“I called on the residents not to steal the materials due to past experience. If an individual, in his own benevolence, decides to construct a road and you team up with the workers to steal, that is the highest form of dishonesty to any community, and anyone who is found guilty of doing that will be dealt with.” The DCE indicated.

Residents who spoke to Oyerepa News expressed their delight in the company.

“Our roads are bad. We find it difficult to go to the farm whenever it rains. We thank Goldline Mining Company for constructing these roads for us.” They said.
