Guinness World Record “sing-a-thon”, attemptee, Afua Asantewaa has strongly criticized filmmaker Socrates Safo for labeling her ungrateful, following revelations about missing financial support meant for her.
Afua Asantewaa’s outburst comes after claims that Vice President Dr. Bawumia’s team allocated GH¢20,000 to be handed over to her after she attempted to break Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, known as a “sing-a-thon, but she never received the funds.
Speaking on United Showbiz, Afua Asantewaa stipulated that she never received such an amount, instead, she was only given a bottle of cough syrup.
However, Socrates Safo, a pundit on the show, labelled Afua Asantewaa as a liar and ungrateful.
In an Instagram story, Afua Asantewaa expressed her frustration and accused Socrates Safo of being deceitful and taking advantage of her hard work.
She lamented that while she endured struggles during her record attempt, others allegedly profited from the initiative.
Her criticism extended to other individuals involved in the livestream, who she claimed also benefited from the missing funds without her knowledge.
