GMB 2013 first runner-up Juliana Bubune dies after cancer battle
Former Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) contestant Juliana Bubune Titiati-Tsikata has passed away after reportedly battling cancer.
Bubune represented the Volta Region in the 2013 edition of the popular beauty pageant and emerged as the first runner-up. Her performance during the competition earned her recognition for her poise, intelligence and confidence.
The news of her death has sparked mourning among family, friends and admirers who followed her journey beyond the pageant.
In a statement, the family described her passing as a painful moment for everyone who knew her and appealed for prayers as they come to terms with the loss.
“Her departure is a deeply painful loss to the family, loved ones, and all whose lives she touched. During this difficult time, we ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn her passing and cherish the memories of her life,” the statement said.
The family said details of her funeral and burial arrangements would be made public later.
“Further details regarding the funeral and related arrangements will be communicated in due course,” the statement added.
Bubune’s death brings to an end the life of a former GMB finalist whose presence in the 2013 competition left a lasting impression on viewers and pageant enthusiasts.
