Mechanics in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region have called the government for support.
According to them, government should resource them in order to expand their businesses.
Government has pledged to promote Technical and Vocational Education Training [TVET] in Ghana.
Speaking to Oyerepa TV’s ‘Ghana Te Sen’ segment on Thursday, the Mechanics at Asafo Dadiesoaba lamented on the lack of adequate resources to compliment their work.
They said, mechanical engineering have come of age where craftsmen all over the world are using modern machines for effective work. However, most Mechanics in the country rely on old equipment which do not accelerate their work.
As a result, government should “provide us with mordern machines to accelerate and facilitate our businesses”.
Lamenting further on their places of work the Mechanics called on government to fix their roads since most routes the leads to their shops are deplorable.
They also called on government to provide them a large place of land to move effectively establish their businesses.
