Consider helping the disadvantaged in realizing their full potentials in becoming serviceable members of society. Dr Gideon Boako, Spokesperson of Ghana’s Vice President has entreated.
Speaking during the Grand Durbar of the maiden edition of the Annual Traditional Week Celebration organized under the auspices of the Adrobaa Traditional Council, Dr Boako disclosed that there are a lot of realms of possibilities in the Ghanaian societies who, with a little support, can assume the form of invaluable persons in the social order; citing himself as an example.
“We those that, through the grace of God and the help of you Nananom, have gotten to the various positions of fortune, should remember that, had it not being an opportunity offered to some of us, a son of Bomaa as I am, would not have been standing at where I am right now. So as I always opine, opportunity should not be given to the one who first opened the door, but the one who held it opened for others to enter.”
The Venerable Economist who was speaking as the Special Guest of Honour of the occasion further advised parents and guardians to further enroll their wards into tertiary education after Senior High School, if it would not be beyond their financial capabilities.
“What I mean is that, if possible and we have the means, let us see what we can do to further our studies after high school”~ said.
He further encouraged those who by some reasons could not further their education to look out for other possible ventures that would enhance their livelihood, and further pledged to the best of his capacity, be open to all those who may need him in that regard.
