A reward of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc100,000) has been pledged to anyone who can provide crucial information that leads to the capture of the individuals responsible for the murder of Mr. Eric Johnson the esteemed owner of the Royal Cosy Hills Hotel, also known as Jirapa Dubai, located in the Jirapa District of the Upper West Region.
Cletus Seidu Dapilah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, revealed this generous offer during a recent interview.
He emphasized that the reward has been generously contributed by an anonymous businessman who is deeply committed to ensuring that the culprits are brought to justice.
“A friend of mine is providing that money and I will collect and hand it over to whoever will aid us by way of information, credible information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. It is a hundred thousand Ghana Cedis from a businessman who is a friend so people should try and volunteer information and evidence to the police and law enforcement agencies”, he pleaded with the public.
On February 11, 2024, Mr. Eric Johnson, a respected businessman, tragically fell victim to a brutal stabbing at his own residence. The following morning, his lifeless body was discovered in a pool of blood, as detailed in a police situational report.
The motive behind this heinous act remains shrouded in mystery. However, the authorities have made significant progress in their investigation, apprehending seven individuals, including hotel staff, who are currently cooperating with the police.
The suspects in custody are Dookuuri Fausta, Braimah Kasim, Beyuo Felix, and Michael Klugey, all of whom are employed at the esteemed Cossy Hill Hotel. Additionally, Kumbata Kwaku, Charles Tuoze, and Favour Nuobe, who also work at the same establishment, have been implicated in the case.
