The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Lawyer Nana Adjei Baffour Awuah, has called on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President of Ghana and the 2024 presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to consider selecting Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate for the next elections.
In an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson, on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Lawyer Baffour Awuah emphasized Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s significant contributions to the country’s development, noting that he has a proven track record of good works that could benefit the nation in the years to come.
“I am appealing to Dr. Bawumia to pick Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate. With Napo by his side, they will be able to continue the good work of developing Ghana and bring real blessings to the people,” said Baffour Awuah.
The NPP Member of Parliament explained that Dr. Opoku Prempeh, who previously served as the Minister for Energy, has proven his ability to deliver on national issues.
He added that pairing Dr. Bawumia with a seasoned and dedicated leader like Dr. Opoku Prempeh would enhance the NPP’s chances of winning the 2024 elections.
Lawyer Baffour Awuah further stressed that such a partnership would ensure a more effective and impactful government. “Ghanaians will see the real blessings of God if Dr. Bawumia and Napo join forces to take the country to greater heights,” he concluded.
