The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, has revealed that Ghanaians, particularly the youth, are increasingly disillusioned with both the NDC and NPP parties.
Examining the prevailing economic hardships and rampant unemployment, the General Secretary of the NDC asserts that there is a palpable sense of hopelessness and despair among the Ghanaian youth.
He further emphasizes that the younger generation has lost faith in the country’s political framework, highlighting the urgent necessity to instil a renewed sense of hope.
Kwetey passionately declares that Ghana, a nation of immense beauty and potential, is worth fighting for, and pledges to work tirelessly to restore hope in the hearts of its people.
“Anytime we sing our party anthem it says from victory unto victory the NDC shall lead. Ghana is not just about organizing elections every four (4) years. Democratic Ghana is talking about the general empowerment of millions of people having the freedom to rise up. The NDC must be a vehicle that mobilizes millions of people”, he noted.
Mr Fiifi Kwetey who Inaugurated the NDC national youth working committee in Accra made known that the young people are losing hope in this Democratic journey.
“The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been considered to be the same because they only think about how to win power but not to bring any development.
Ghana is a “beautiful country to die for. When you hear young people on social media, the level of discouragement, despair and lack of confidence that you have in the political architecture, is dangerous and I think we need to inspire them and give them hope that there are good people there who can help execute this. Country. It’s absolutely vital that we do that and restore confidence.” He stated.
