Award-winning musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong has rejected claims of widespread hardship in Ghana, attributing such assertions to political manipulation.
He believes the opposition, specifically the NDC, is fabricating these claims to tarnish the current government’s image.
During an interview on Fox FM, on the sidelines of the NPP manifesto launch, Acheampong challenged those who believe in the NDC’s hardship narrative to observe the vibrant nightlife in pubs and lounges.
He argued that the lively atmosphere and youthful revelry contradict the supposed hardship, implying that Ghanaians enjoy life.
“The claims of hardship in Ghana are cosmetic and a figment of their imagination. If you think there is hardship in Ghana, visit pubs and lounges at night and you’ll see how Ghanaian youth are chilling at night.
This is a clear indication that there is no hardship. I acknowledge that after COVID things have not been the same but that is a global phenomenon.
