A Ghanaian man, identified as Kassim Awudu, and his Nigerian girlfriend have been found dead in their apartment in Morocco.
Reports indicate that friends of the deceased became concerned after several failed attempts to reach him. They subsequently visited his residence and, with the assistance of the landlord, forced open the door, where they discovered the couple unresponsive inside.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear, and authorities have not yet announced an official cause of death.
A Moroccan resident, speaking in an interview with Kofi TV, said preliminary information suggests the couple may have died several days before they were found. According to him, neighbours alerted the landlord after noticing their prolonged absence, leading to the forced entry into the apartment.
He further stated that some occupants of the building reportedly left the premises out of fear of possible police questioning due to documentation concerns.
Police later removed the bodies and have since begun efforts to locate and inform the families of the deceased.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are yet to provide additional details on the incident.
