Ghana Black Stars coach, Otto Addo is confident in the ability of his team ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
The Black Stars host The Super Eagles in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 25, 2022, before the team travels to Abuja for the second leg on March 29 to be played at the Moshood Abiola Sports Stadium.
Otto Addo who will take charge of the team for only the World Cup playoffs admits the team has not played together but they have a strategy going into the game against the Super Eagles.
Speaking at the pre-match conference ahead of the game the Ghana coach said, “it’s obvious we’ve not played together for so long but we have a plan, and we will execute it tomorrow.”
The Black Stars of Ghana held their last training session on Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
St.Pauli midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh is a doubt for the game after picking up a knock in training on Wednesday.
Edmund Addo has also been ruled out of the doubleheader after aggravating an injury he picked up with his club. Addo has left the team’s camp to join Moldovan club Sherif Tiraspol.
Black Stars captain Andre Ayew was at the team’s training session to motivate the players ahead of the game. The Al Sadd has been ruled out of the game due to suspension.
