he Ghana Meteorological Agency has issued a fresh weather alert, warning of thunderstorms and rainfall expected across several parts of the country. This follows the advancement of a rainstorm system moving from southern Togo into Ghana.
According to a 24-hour forecast released on Tuesday morning, the storm system is already producing thunderstorms and rainfall of varying intensities over the transition zone and portions of the northern sector.
As the system progresses, it is expected to bring widespread cloudy conditions and trigger additional thunderstorms with rain across the southern half of the country, particularly from morning through to late afternoon.
While some areas may experience intermittent sunshine, the agency cautioned that much of the country—especially the coastal, middle, and northern regions—should prepare for thunderstorms or rain from late afternoon into the evening.
The alert also highlighted rough sea conditions, urging coastal communities and maritime operators to exercise caution.
Residents are advised to remain vigilant and stay updated, as weather conditions are likely to evolve throughout the day.
