GES gets approval to place 6,249 newly recruited teachers on payroll

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that it has received financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance to pay the salaries of 6,249 teachers recruited in 2024.

In a statement signed by its Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, the GES said the approval enables it to complete all required processes to place the newly recruited teachers onto the mechanised payroll.

The clearance, which expires on December 31, 2025, paves the way for the affected staff to be fully processed for their November 2025 salary payments. GES assured that management is working diligently to ensure all eligible teachers are captured within the stipulated period.

The Service also expressed appreciation to its staff for their commitment and reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
