The International Scout and Guide Fellowship, Ghana Chapter, has presented a symbolic flame torch of peace to the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at his palace.
This historic meeting was made possible after the group embarked on a seven-day walk from Kumasi’s Manhyia Palace to Accra’s Ga Mantse Palace, preaching peace and unity ahead of the December elections.
His Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, applauded the group’s bold decision to spread the message of peace, togetherness, and love to Ghanaians during this critical period.
He emphasized that the 21-29 November walk was not only for Kumasi and Accra but for the entire country, highlighting the need to protect the peace Ghana enjoys.
The King urged politicians to refrain from insulting one another in their pursuit of power, reminding them that after the elections, there will still be one Ghana.
Dr. Albert Tetteh Botchway, Board Chairman of the International Scout and Guide Fellowship, made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to prioritize peace and unity in the upcoming elections.
He Emphasized that Ghana is the only home they have, he urged citizens to avoid violence and vote peacefully, cautioning against being swayed by politicians’ promises.
Dr. Botchway humorously pointed out that if anything were to happen in Ghana, they wouldn’t be able to escape by sea, as they don’t know how to swim. He encouraged citizens to take any money offered by politicians and vote according to their conscience.
